4-1-11 Sutera's

It was the day of my cousin's wedding and both of us had the day off so we traveled over to Sutera's on Rainbow Blvd to try some tasty Italian foods.

We had a Muncharoo coupon for this place burning a hole in our pockets so we had to go back and try something new. We've been here several times with JE's family so we knew everything was good.

They serve standard Italian favorites on their menu and pizza which we've had in the past. Their pizza is good too.

JE had spaghetti and meatballs and a Cesar salad. At the table, we also were presented with a loaf of bread to sop up the sauce.

I ordered pasta with Italian sausage and a cup of chicken noodle soup as a side.

You might think that lunch portions would be small, but as you can tell with the pictures, that was an understatement. Their red sauce is delicious and you'll want to use the bread to get every last drop. The meatballs and Italian sausage were cooked well and tasty and the pasta was cooked as you would expect it to be. The chicken noodle soup was good but it could have had more chicken and less noodles in it.

It is great food for lunch and it was very fast. You could easily be in and out within a half-hour.

Service was a bit questionable. We've had better on previous visits. Most of the servers really seemed pressed to be friendly as they were busy standing at a nearby table gossiping. It wasn't even good gossip. And you must have to have blonde hair (natural or otherwise) to be a server there because that's all we saw.

The total experience was pleasant, the food was great and after the coupon, our bill came out to $5 before the tip on the full price.

Check out Sutera's for yourself. They're located at
4730 Rainbow Boulevard in Westwood, KS.
