JE's brother Jason always says, "you take me to the nicest places." He would have probably said the same thing about Bucks, in what used to be an old Ponderosa off North Oak Trafficway.
Buck's, from the sign in front, has both Italian and BBQ, which was a quandary in itself on how the food would be. The menu is an odd mix of both types of food which was interesting in the least.

When we walked in, it was as if all of their light bulbs were burned out. I don't think we saw one light bulb on while we were there. They have several big screen TVs throughout the place, dart boards, Golden Tee and Deer Hunter and other games to play.
The food is good -- if you have the time and patience to wait for it.
JE ordered The Mob which is a meatball, pressed into a patty, then grilled with onions and provolone and placed on a bun. It came with a side of marinara sauce. It came with fries.

I ordered the Trophy Buck which was a 1/2 pound of brisket and pork on a hoagie roll. This sandwich also came with fries. Each sandwich was $8.29.

We ordered and we waited. The nice waitress disappeared and only showed up on occasion and it wasn't because they were busy (they weren't). It took some time to even get our order taken and took longer to get the food. It was about 40 minutes for the entire process. I have no idea where she would disappear to but she wasn't very attentive about empty drink glasses. The glass of ice tea was gone quickly in those 40 minutes.
Outside of the long wait, the food was good. I was hoping for more BBQ sauce on the Trophy Buck and got more after a slight delay. I used JE's marinara sauce to dip my fries in and that was good. Again, we both liked the food, but couldn't stand the wait.
Buck's is located on 5708 North Oak Trafficway in Gladstone, MO.
